I enjoy creating software whether it lives on the web or it runs on the desktop. My interest in programming started back around 12 years ago when I was fixing computers — keeping handwritten notes wasn't working. Little did I know at that time, this would be my career path.
Fast-forward to today, I've had the pleasure of working in the insurance and electric markets. With completely different markets, the tech stack is broad and has allowed me to work with more than a handful of languages and technologies. Professionally my focus has been around desktop applications with a few web applications.
I love spending time with my family, whether it's hanging around the house, outings, or traveling to places we've not been. When I have spare time, I try learning new languages and technologies to help build my skills. It helps keep me up to date with current trends that are ever-changing in this field.
I finally started up a new project that I have been thinking about for awhile now. So far everything has been great, a few bumps, but I got over them. Hopefully soon I will share more details about this project!03-14-22
Over the past 3 weeks I've been working on building my personal site up, much different as before I used HTML and CSS and this site I am using Next.js and Typescript. As a result, I've not focused on much of anything else. Most recently I started using Tailwind CSS, so much time has been saved and utilizing this framework has been easy so far.
